Mercentive

Use the Method.
Keep your independence.

A practical framework for commission-based distribution that producers can apply with the tools they choose.

An exchange that supports the product.

A producer creates something valuable. A participant helps it reach a customer who has a reason to buy it. An attributable sale funds an agreed commission. The producer can relate distribution cost to revenue, and the participant shares in the value of the sale.

The Method describes how to make that relationship work. It is available to use independently of the Mercentive Platform.

Build a distribution operation you can trust.

Define an offer worth recommending.

Identify the customer, the value of the product and the purchase route. Establish what the customer owns and the support they can expect. Set a commission the product can sustain after transaction costs and adjustments.

Establish the commercial relationship.

Agree who can participate and how they may promote the product. Define the commission basis, attribution rules and payment schedule so both parties understand the arrangement before activity begins.

Connect recommendations to sales.

Choose an attribution mechanism that works with the sales channel. Establish the attribution window and a consistent way to resolve overlapping or disputed claims.

Make the reporting useful.

Record eligible transactions and adjustments. Give participants enough information to understand their commission statements while limiting access to customer information.

Pay and reconcile.

Settle eligible commissions according to the agreement. Account for refunds and other adjustments, retain payment records and provide a direct route to resolve a discrepancy.

Improve from operating evidence.

Learn which recommendations reach suitable customers and where the purchase or support experience needs work. Use that evidence to improve the operation and decide what to automate.

Commission follows customer value.

The basis for compensation is an eligible product sale. Participant recruitment does not earn commission. Successful distribution depends on genuine demand, accurate recommendations and a product that delivers on its promise.

Beginning with Noctio.

FrequenSee is developing the first Canadian programme around Noctio. Its product economics and customer experience provide the foundation for the Method’s first implementation.
